Legitimate payments should not be made to individuals. Always verify that the account name matches the official name of the bank, financing company, or authorized collection agency.

2. Use official payment channels only.
Payments should be made through formal and verified channels—either directly to the bank or to accredited agencies with proper documentation.

3. Verify the agency’s identity.
Always request a landline number and the complete physical address of any collecting agency. Do not rely solely on mobile numbers or social media communication.

4. Track your payments.
Regularly request a loan ledger or updated payment history from your bank or lender to ensure your payments are accurately recorded.

5. Secure your clearance.
Once your loan is fully paid, request an official clearance or certificate of full payment as proof of settlement.
